Audi’s quattro division which was called quattro GmbH until now and was responsible for the R8 and the RS cars has been renamed by the German carmaker. The newly christened Audi Sport GmbH will exist at the same Neckarsulm site where the quattro GmbH facility has existed for more than twenty years now. It is even responsible for the customer racing programme as well as the Audi Exclusive car customisation department. Audi Sport GmbH, formerly known as quattro GmbH, is a closed company whose cars are sold through its parent company Audi.
